Robbie the Snake got thrown under the bus...

Life with a two-and-a-half-year-old boy is never dull. Frustrating, yes. Tiresome, yes. Fulfilling, yes. Fun and goofy, yes. But never boring. Here are the latest pictures and a video of my sweet Andrew. He truly is such a good boy. I was talking to a friend of mine recently who has a son about six months younger than Andrew. She said, "Andrew's a good boy isn't he?" almost with sadness in her eyes. "Yes," I replied, "he really is a good boy." And this friend of mine is a stellar mom. Some kids are just good and some are more of a handful, no matter how you raise them. I think that God gave me a good Andrew b/c in His infinite wisdom, He knew that Benjamin would need a kind, gentle older brother. One that will teach him, not tease him. One that is so amazingly smart that he will help to teach him his ABCs and numbers. One that will help to take care of his younger brother if and when Matthew and I aren't able to anymore. Okay, this didn't start out to be a tear-jerker, but you never know when those things are gonna sneak up on you. Onto the hilarity of my life with a funny Andrew.

My loyal blog followers will remember Robbie the Snake. I am sad to inform you that he was involved in a fatal bus wreck in the master closet. (Just kidding. No cheap snakes from Mr. Tim's house were harmed in the photographing of this domestic incident.)



On Wednesday, after Benjamin's synagis shot, Andrew and I went by Namma's school to eat lunch with her. In between a bite of chicken McNugget and a French fry, Andrew stood up and announced, "I have to poo poo." He walked six steps into Mom's bathroom and said, "Namma, come help me poo poo!" We were both really excited that he might *finally* pee or poop on the toilet. But, alas, all I got was a cute picture. I think he was just fascinated with the short toilet. Aren't we all?

Does anyone know what 6EAMBWO spells? Andrew knows but he's not telling. He came up with this one all on his own. He was pointing to the letters and adding an extra sound to the end. This is probably because we've been talking about days on the calendar and he's interested in 4th, 5th, 6th, etc.

And here is a short video of it. Ah, the cuteness of a toddler. He didn't know I was taping him, and when he sees me, it's just adorable. The best part of this video, however, has got to be watching Andrew watch the video. He knows he's cute. **Be sure to pause the music at the bottom of the page first!!**

And then we spelled a real word. He first put the letters backwards and spelled "TAB," but we fixed it.

You know I had to include an adorable Benjamin picture, too!! Oh, by the way, we met with the occupational therapist to see if Benjamin qualified for OT services based on how he was (or wasn't) eating solid foods. But it kind of was just a precaution and a way to get a baseline. He is doing SO much better and she was actually quite impressed with him. So, YAY! Right before she left, I was holding Benjamin, and she held out her inkpen vertically in front of him. He looked at it carefully and then reached out and grabbed it with both hands! My heart swelled. :) She and I talked about when he should increase his solids from two to three times a day, when he should start finger foods and a sippy cup, etc. It was a great visit.
