Shrinkvivor - Week One Weigh-In

Shrinkvivor Challenge at the Sisterhood!

Photobucket

Well, it was a good week! I usually do fairly well when I start back for the first week or two.

Then I get comfortable and start nibbling.

The nibbling leads to biting.

Then before you know it, I'm up to my elbows at the Chinese buffet.

Kidding. Kind of.

I do not have pictures this week. I kind of hate to do weekly pictures. I feel like monthly pics are more effective. Since this is a seven-week challenge, I will take pictures at 3.5 weeks and then again at the end.

As far as fitness, I only got 3.4 miles (over the course of two walks) this week. Not that great. But to my credit, it is almost 100 degrees outside, our ancient treadmill has breathed its last (SAD!!!), and I spent almost two whole days at the doctor. (Friday for Thomas--we had an RSV scare, but it is just an upper-respiratory infection that makes him cough and hack like a 70-year-old smoker. Yesterday for me--my leg has been aching and I was fearful that I had another blood clot. Four hours and one leg ultrasound later, it was determined that I do not have a blood clot (YAY!) but need to take it easy and possibly look into seeing a vascular surgeon to get my veins fixed. My right leg is just crunk.)

But as far as my eating, I did GREAT! I did not go over my points at all, and even had 27.5 Weekly Flex Points (plus 4 Activity Points) leftover at the end of the week. Even with losing my 10 daily nursing points. And now I will lose an additional point b/c I've dipped down into the 180s.

Shrinkvivor Start: 195
Week One Results: 189.4
Week One Loss: -5.6 pounds

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another challenge this week was to drink water. I did *much* better than normal, drinking 40-60 ounces a day. I am going to strive for even more this week.

Have a great week everyone! I hope to blog soon with some pics of my cute boys. That's really what you're all here for.

And in a way, so am I. :)

What a great job! I stubbled on your blog somehow and I've been inspired by your story. I am trying to do Weight Watchers and was wondering what type of things you eat.

I thought you looked absolutely great when I saw you. And you had such willpower while we were all stuffing our faces with hotdogs, dessert, etc.! You are my hero! So good to see you and Matthew and the boys. And Thomas--what a smile! Love you, Priscilla

Congrats on your first week! I too am doing a diet and know exactly where you are coming from about nibbles and bites. I am not used to eating so little and want to practically chomp on my arm. Good luck on the next few weeks!
