I worked all night on this. Many tears were shed. My heart is FULL of love for my little boy. Please, please go to the bottom of the page, pause the music, and watch this video. It would mean so much to me.
Be SURE to watch the video with SOUND if at all possible. I chose the two most *perfect* songs, and the lyrics are sure to make you just fall to pieces. LOL
Look how far we've come in a year!!!! Praise God.

Benjamin's First Year

I know I already posted on your facebook, but I just went back and watched it again.
I also lose it on this one picture. You're holding him, I think right before you hand him to the nurse to go to the OR, and he's got his little head on your shoulder, like he's reassuring you. Oh, I can't take it. *hugs*
Just wandered my way to your blog a few days ago, and spent some time getting caught up with you and your family. You have two incredible boys, and that slide show is amazing. Benjamin is absolutely precious. His little life has certainly touched mine. I hope he smiles like that every day for the rest of his life!
That boy rocks! I loved that video, especially the last two pictures with his birthday cake. It seems like you've all come such a long way in such a short time. It's hard to believe it was just a year ago that he came into this world. Love you all!

OH MY GOODNESSS!!!!!!!!! SO precious. I love him. What a gift he is to all of us. I want some of his joy.
What a doll!!
And what a FABULOUS mommy!!!!
I LOVE THIS VIDEO!!!!!!!
Okay, just because I can cry like a baby doesn't mean I want to!! I'm always amazed at how sweet our little Benjamin's smile is. I didn't get to listen to the words of the first song because the boys were being too "loudy" in the background, but I will listen again later. Thanks for putting this together! It was GREAT!!
Your husband
How sweet! I still cry when I watch Raeleigh's montage...and she will be 4 this year!
THat video was so sweet- what a wonderful way to celebrate Benjamin's first year! Here's to his second year being the absolute best!
Angela, you are touching people's lives with your love and your faith. I have followed your blog because I knew your Aunt Eunice from Sunrise Community Church in Virginia. Your gift for writing and sharing is amazing and it has touched my life. Your family is wonderful and thanks for sharing them with all of us. The video was so touching. I too cried like a baby. God is using your gifts and talent in so many ways. Keep it up!
Kathy
Hey Angela,
I watched your video on Facebook just now, and it was so sweet. Benjamin really has touched so many people in the past year. Thank you for sharing him with us!
Love ya.
Just watched the video for the second time and here I am again, wiping tears from my keyboard. In this last year Benjamin has changed our lives for good, forever. We have heard from so many that Benjamin is so fortunate to have been born into our family, but as he grows, I feel that we are the fortunate ones to live with him. He is such a good baby and so precious. I am looking forward to year number two and all the accomplishments he will make. Thanks for always including me,every day of your boys' lives. I love them more than I love you or your brothers. Just kidding.
Mom
What a beautiful video for such a precious boy! That first song got me choked up and crying almost immediately. Well done! This is definitely a keepsake you will be glad to have for the rest of your lives.
OK, I loved it - but managed to not cry during the video. I smiled, no beamed throughout (especially at him by a Christmas tree branch) but, I lost it when I read Matthew's comment!
Not only have you done a great job mothering Benjamin, but you are doing a great job capturing the joy in your lives on "film". I love the picture of you and him by the hospital canvas of you two.
These 2 songs were absolutely perfect. Now,for the next one.. look up "I Am Your Child" by Barry Manilow.
Beautiful!
I used to sing "Baby Mine" to C...*sniff*
Oh Angela -I say again thank you so much for sharing him and your journey with all of us. His precious spirit does shine through, just as it does in person.
About the video -you had me at the first picture. I know what that first picture vs. the 2nd one means. But it's like you said on the video clip yourself "Thank You, Lord, for my precious boy. You knew I needed him." We all need a little bit of Benjamin in our lives to remind us of the joy and of the preciousness of life. I know having gone through this journey "with" you and your family, my perspective has been forever changed.
So 2 things made me crack up though - one was the picture of him towards the end, up on his hands and feet... all excited but not sure what happens next (isn't what life is like? should be like?) and then your mother's comments. Tears and laughter. Love you Angela - MJ
He's precious! Such a wonderful video!!
That is one beautiful boy! The video is so sweet!
angela, that was beautiful!!!! you did a great job!!!
HI Angela,
First, Happy Happy belated 1st birthday to baby Benjamin! What a beautiful baby boy he is!
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and leaving us a comment. I was watching your video - you did a GREAT job!- and I was moved to tears as Sam's 1st year movie looks very similar somehow and we both chose Baby Mine as a song.
I have yet to catch up and read all about your blessed family but will do so now; I wanted to send you a comment off first though. Where in GA are you?
so sweet, so precious. You are so great to put this together--thank you for sharing with all of us!!

That's an absolutely beautiful montage and yes, the songs are perfect.
Gorgeous Angela! There were several pictures in there that I haven't seen before. My favorite is the one early on in the video where he is laying on your shoulder and we only see your profile.
So sweet. It was like looking at my Zachary! What a cutie.
