Quick Update

For those of you not on Facebook, you may not know what has been going on in our lives.

A. Lot.

Thomas got five ear infections in a span of about seven weeks, and we could NOT get rid of them because it turns out he is allergic to penicillin and sulfa drugs. So he was miserable, poor little guy.

The ENT's office called last Thursday and told me that they could work him in THAT afternoon to get tubes. I was THRILLED! He did well but had a couple of rough days afterwards, but is doing better now, despite cutting another tooth.

And the big news in the world of Benjamin is that he is beginning to communicate! The other day he picked up a ball, held it high in the air, said, "BAAAALL" and threw it across the room. I almost fell over! And tonight, when I was reading him a story, I said, "Red," and he said, "Ed." AAAAAAAAAAAAAA! That is *such* a huge improvement. He is almost three and has not spoken words nor imitated words yet. I am beyond thrilled.

Andrew is doing great. He will be five years old in two weeks. Wow. I cannot believe it! He can read SO well. Writing is another story. He can barely write anything and has no interest in doing so.

Matthew is doing great. He is a half-marathon-running-beast. He could honestly just go out any day of the week and run 13.1 miles if he had to. His busy season just started at work, and he will be working and traveling a LOT in the next two months or so. He loves it but finds it hard to balance it all. I am going to really try to be a supportive wife throughout all this.

I am doing fine. Still running. I run three times a week and am running another 5K next weekend. OH! I wanted to tell you that, thanks to my wonderful blog friends, FB friends, and relatives, I raised a whopping $650 for the Area 4 Special Olympics! The 5K went so well! I ran it with my good friends Diana and Melissa; they are so wonderful. Love you, girls!!

Okay, now you are all up to speed. I am going to try and update more often and upload pictures so that I don't have to do these verbal diarrhea posts.

Toodles!
