In trying to get a list of all the doctors Benjamin has ever seen for some paperwork we have to fill out, Matthew ran across this article. He read it outloud and I couldn't help but have tears in my eyes. This is our heart surgeon who repaired Benjamin's two heart defects. And I know many of my blog readers are not only Democrats but Bush-haters, and that's your perogative. But I am not either, and so this story especially touched my heart. (This article was written in March 2008, the month before Benjamin was born.)

Talk about six degrees of separation. I have a son named Benjamin. He was operated on my Dr. Karla Christian, who met and talked with the President of the United States. Pretty cool in my book. I was particularly impressed by what she did for that Iraqi girl, and I couldn't help but smile to know that she is a fellow GOP. ;)
(By the way, B has seen eight doctors in his short ten months. Anyone have us beat?) LOL

And THAT is precisely why I adore Mr. Bush. I care not for what anyone says about him because he's a-okay in my book! And that is way cool that she is who operated on B!!!
Wow, what a great story! I think Mr. Bush is wonderful, I dont get why others hate him so much. Lucky to have a such a caring doctor!
She was Raeleigh's surgeon too! That is pretty cool :)
What an awesome story!!! I too, thought I was one of the few people left who like Bush but I am slowly realizing that this isn't the case.
Great story, anyone who helps B is a hero to me!
Wonderful story! I love Bush!
Thanks for the comment. I've been especially discouraged lately. :(
