Update in pics and videos

Not much time to type up a long update, but here are some pics from the past week. Matthew and I need to finish watching the movie "Amazing Grace," which is really good so far!!!

Here is my sweet baby making drooly faces at me while Matthew and I try to watch 24. I think Andrew was at my parents' house. No, B wasn't up at 9:00--we never watch anything live.

I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gee...I wonder where he learns how to open his mouth and make goofy faces? Who is that insane woman on the left? LOL

Yesterday it was 67 degrees here. But on Wednesday, when we had to go to Children's for B's synagis shot, it was 19 degrees with a windchill of 7 when we left at 8:45 a.m. They boys were perfect as usual, even all bundled up like Northerners. ;)

Catching a quick nap before his shot. He is so good. Look at those rosy cheeks!

At least we are getting some use out of Andrew's winter coat! I think he's worn it less than five times.

Not really thrilled to be in yet another picture with Mommy. Too bad, kid!

I want you to notice the bump in the middle of Benjamin's sternum. While we've been told by his cardiologist here in town and his cardiac surgeon (who did his heart surgery) have both told us that it's normal, it just bugs me!!! It's obviously from his heart surgery where they had cut his sternum to get to his heart. I don't see it all that often b/c it's winter and he's usually clothed. But--UGH! The poor guy already has four scars on his chest, but the funky sternum is just bothersome!

Here is a side shot of it.

I can't wait until they're friends.

Check out B's face. He is cracking UP about something! He does that quite often now. He just laughs and laughs all on his own. Joke's on us b/c we don't know what he's laughing about. (Andrew is mesmorized by his favorite movie of late--"Dumbo." Thankfully he has not asked me about why the storks are bringing the baby animals nor why Dumbo and his mouse friend act funny after drinking the sparkly water...)

And now, here are two videos. Don't forget to pause the music at the bottom of the page first. The first one is of Benjamin eating a Gerber puff. He is at about 25% accuracy now I think. The second one is of him playing in the highchair and loving it when he drops toys on the floor. What a cutie!

I came across your blog right after Benjamin had his OHS. My son was 2 months old and had the same exact surgery, with the same exact outcome, and 15 months later he is doing fantastic. He also has the same lump, or battle wound as I call it, on his sternum. It used to bother me but I like to think of it as a badge of honor. Your sons are gorgeous and you have a beautiful family. God Bless!

Oh Gosh Angela, could he be any cuter? Benjamin is the happiest baby I've seen. His smile and giggles make me smile. What a delight. You say you can't wait until the boys are playing with each other - hahahahha be careful what you wish for - my boys never got into much trouble individually...but together they were a force to be reckoned with - just saying! (or giving you a heads up maybe - quiet is not necessarily a good thing!)
Love the pics.

Did you notice that in the puff video his mouth is doing the movement of "ma ma!" He just needs to get the vocals to back it!! Also perfect opportunity to be doing your "more" sign language. I love the laughing at the toys!! It is cute when they laugh after throwing toys on the floor at this age in another year, not so much!
