More good news!!

That was quick! Right after my last post, the doctor came in and disconnected his pacemaker!!!!! It is still next to him on the bed, and the wires are still connected (coiled and taped) in case he needs it), but he is not using it at all! I can breastfeed him within the hour!! I'll get to hold him for the first time since before his surgery. Oh, I can't wait!!! I hope he eats well and enough so that I don't have to pump afterwards. It will still be tricky with his chest tube and central lines all still connected, but that's okay!

Angela we have been praying constantly. That ICU time is hard with all those around you hurting...my dad and mom experienced this after her surgery, and well, we were the ones when she went back. I am so happy to be praying for you all and so happy that the LORD is doing these wonderful things for you and Benjamin this day. My girls and I are praying a lot!

I'm crying tears from the last post for those other babies and their families and then tears of joy for Benjamin and his progress and the fact that you finally get to hold your son and BF him! Praise the Lord!!!

Your blog is such an inspiration of the faith you have in our Almighty God, and your posts reflect the compassion you have for these other families in the midst of the trials you are facing. Thank you for opening your life with us and keeping us posted on each step (both forward and backward) in Benjamin's walk through surgery and recovery.
